FAQs
What technology will I need?
Access to UnfoldEd lessons requires an internet-enabled device, with an up-to-date browser. For delivering lessons, we recommend using a laptop or desktop that is connected to an interactive whiteboard, but lessons work with any compatible device and can be navigated using touch screens or a mouse. Please contact our support team to help with setup or technical issues.
What technical support is available?
Please contact our friendly support team who will be happy to help you resolve any technical issues.
Do you offer training on how to use the programme?
We provide simple and intuitive user and teaching guides to help you make the most of the lessons. You can contact our helpful team if you need further support or to arrange a workshop.
Can UnfoldEd be used outside of the classroom?
UnfoldEd lessons use a blend of digital and in-person learning. Although anyone can access the lessons, they have been primarily designed for teachers to facilitate delivery in a classroom using an interactive whiteboard/screen or remote online using screenshare.
How do I create a custom lesson?
Lessons come with a comprehensive user guide, showing you how to customise activities and lessons. You can contact our support team for further assistance.
If I create a custom lesson, can I access it on a different device?
You can save your lesson and resume from where you left off on any other compatible device, so long as you are logged into the same account.
Is UnfoldEd accessible?
We always try and make everything as accessible as possible by incorporating WCAG AA standards, but we recognise that some elements of UnfoldEd may not be accessible to everyone. If there is anything we can do to help making access to the lessons easier, please get in touch and we will be delighted to help.
Is UnfoldEd suitable for schools outside of England?
UnfoldEd lessons are designed to meet the statutory requirements of the English Curriculum and are also aligned with frameworks across the rest of the UK, which is reflected in the lesson plans. However, they can also be used in other educational contexts. We invite everyone to make use of the options to customise lessons for their own unique learning environments.
Do you plan to create UnfoldEd lessons in other subjects or Key Stages?
Although we are starting with PSHE Primary lessons, we are aiming to expand UnfoldEd as far as we can, with the support of our sponsors. We are always keen to hear from teachers to help us understand how we can help you!
What pedagogical principles is UnfoldEd built around?
UnfoldEd is built around a transformative approach to education, based upon years of pedagogical research and practice.
This transformative approach works through learning experiences that have been intentionally designed to empower every learner to become an active agent for positive change in their world. You can find out more in our curricular overview section.

When will new lessons be released?
New lessons will be released on a termly basis as and when we have sponsors to fund their development. We have already done a lot of the planning on a number of other lessons, but as a small company, we don't have the resources available to do all of the design and development work without the support of our sponsors.
Who can sponsor a lesson?
Anyone can sponsor a lesson. Check out our sponsorship page for more information.
Can I refer a sponsor?
The more sponsors we have, the more lessons we can create. If you successfully refer a sponsor, we would share our gratitude with you by providing you with a £250 voucher, or a £500 donation to the charity of your choice. Get in touch if you would like to refer a sponsor.
Where does the sponsorship money go?
The bulk of sponsorship money goes towards designing and developing the lessons. Other costs include hosting, maintaining and updating the lessons, as well as providing user support and other administrative areas. Although we are a social business, we still need to make a profit to cover our operational costs and help the business to grow. We are however committed to reinvesting at least 50% of all profits from UnfoldEd to create even more free lessons and work on other initiatives to support schools and young people.
Is UnfoldEd a charity?
We are a social business with a
commitment to invest a minimum 50% of all profits into developing more
resources, improving UnfoldEd and working on other initiatives to
support schools and young people.
Who are the team behind UnfoldEd?
